What do IFAs do?

If you haven't worked with an Independent Financial Adviser before, it can be difficult to know what to expect.  Here is a summary of the main things to consider.

Introduction

One of our Financial Advisers would initially meet with you to discuss your requirements. This would allow you to explain your expectations and your needs so that we fully understand your current circumstances.  This would also allow you an opportunity to ask us questions and further understand what we do, including information about our charges. There would be no charge for this initial meeting.

Fact Find
We will carry out an extensive assessment of your financial situation. This process involves the gathering of information about your existing financial arrangements and full personal circumstances.  Our aim is also to understand your investment knowledge, attitude and tolerance towards investment risk.

Analysis and recommendation
We will conduct unrestricted, whole of market research which will include a full analysis of current plans, assets, insurance coverage, investment strategies and the current tax environment.
Following our research, we will discuss our recommendation with you and provide a bespoke suitability report that will detail any recommendations in writing.

Implementation and review
Finally once you have confirmed you would like to proceed with our recommendations, we will implement them.   This would include organising all the necessary paperwork and dealing with any product providers.  Our objective is to make sure the application runs smoothly for you.  You will receive all the relevant documentation and we will keep a copy on file.
